Eligibility Criteria for Australian PR – 

  • Age – An individual must be between 18 to 45 and will be awarded the points accordingly. An individual can get a maximum point of 30 with age 25-32 and a minimum point of 0 with age 45 and above.
  • English language proficiency – You would have to prove your English language proficiency by taking tests like IELTS, PTE, etc. 
  • Work Experience – More the years of work experience, higher points are allotted to the person. People who have at least eight years of experience get 15 points. 
  • Education – The points that are allotted according to education depend on the qualification and the country from which it is done. Education that is done from any other country except Australia is made equivalent to Australia’s education. 

Qualification outside Australia should be a Bachelor or higher or Ph.D. degree from a recognized institution, and in Australia, the qualification should be of at least two academic years or more.

  • Partner Qualification – If your partner is also applying for the visa, they should meet the criteria such as age and skill criteria. 
  • Additional Points – You can gain a total of five Australian PR points for speaking a community language. If you completed a year in Australia in the occupation that is there on the Skilled list for a minimum of 12 months, you will receive 5 points. Additionally, you can gain five points if you have a State Nomination (190 visa).
